Zooburst is a program that allows you to make popup books. It is limited to text in the free mode. With the paid version, you can record your voice with the pictures. It was easy to use, but pictures were limited. You can upload your own pictures. It was easy to add and delete pictures, move them around and adjust the size. It seemed to me that it was designed for use with elementary age. I'm not sure why except that it seemed limited in text and pictures. As you can see from my example, I think it would work well with early readers. Teachers could prepare books that students could read or students could write their own books. I was disappointed in the backgrounds. The same pictures were used for objects and backgrounds. When I tried to insert the backgrounds, they were small, even if enlarged as much as possible. It didn't cover all of the background with the picture. From the appearance of some of the pictures, I think students can draw their pictures, then upload them as objects. That would be fun to do as a class. I wonder if it would be possible to make a poetry book on an older level with pictures of scenery and haiku, for example. That might work with older students.
The free accounts allows 10 books of 10 pages each.
The paid account is $9.99 per month or $49.99 per year. It allows unlimited books of 50 pages each and 250 student accounts.
